Biography

Bernhard Fleischmann (drums, electronics, piano), Christof Kurzmann (vocals, woodwinds), Paul Kling (aka Burkhard Stangl) (vibraphone, guitar), Martin Siewert (guitar), and Werner Dafeldecker (bass) are the post-rock experimentalists behind the Year Of. Based in Vienna, Austria, the Year Of are the brainchild of Durian Records founder and electronic guru Fleischmann, who oversees the band's arrangements with Kurzmann, their chief singer/songwriter.
