Formed in Rapid City, SD, in 2004, the Weather Machines craft late-'70s/early-'80s-infused power pop with an indie rock sensibility. Built around the songs and guitar playing of "engineer masquerading as musician" Jason Ward, and comprised of drummer J. Waylon Miller, bass player Ali DeMersseman, and guitarist Patrick S. Fleming, the Weather Machines released their electrifying debut, The Sound of Pseudoscience, on the Tigers Against Crime label on January 24, 2006. ~ James Christopher Monger, All Music Guide
