Somewhat of an indie rock supergroup, the Pilot Ships are made up of Stars of the Lid member Brian McBride, Monroe Mustang members Chris and Mike Linnen, and Cheree Jetten, a member of Bees are Black and the Angels. Based between Chicago and Austin, the Pilot Ships' debut album, There Should Be an Entry Here, was released in 1997 on At a Glance records. The like-minded follow-up, The Limits of Painting and Poetry, was released in late 2000 on the Bluesanct label. ~ Jason Nickey, All Music Guide
