The Freshmaka and his collaborator Duke Mushroom met in New York City in 1991. The duo began their career by composing soundtracks, including one for Whoopi Goldberg's 1996 movie Eddie, as well as original music for MTV's The Real World: Seattle and Billy Blank's popular Tae Bo excersise video. In addition to their producing, remixing and scoring duties, the Freshmaka and Duke Mushroom released their debut full-length album I Am The Freshmaka in 1999 on Moonshine Music. ~ Heather Phares, All Music Guide
