The Dangerous Crew was comprised of Oakland/Bay Area MCs Too Short, Goldy, Anthony "Ant" Banks, and Father Dom. Banks mixed and co-produced Don't Try This at Home, the collective's sole release. Full of goofy R-rated rhymes and plenty of Oaktown boasting, the record was enjoyable not for its hooks or production trickery, but for its embrace of the quirky personalities involved. Each MC left his own indelible mark on the microphone, even if the album was a throwaway between each member's respective solo projects. Don't Try This at Home also featured guest shots from Erick Sermon, as well as Digital Underground's Shock-G. ~ Johnny Loftus, All Music Guide
