Indie pop quartet the Apparitions feature members who reside in both Lexington, KY, and Washington, D.C., which has led them to spend most of their time in either one city or the other. The brainchild of lead vocalist Mark Charles Heidinger, the group also features Robbie Roberts (bass), Eric Smith (guitars), Justin Craig (guitars), and Robby Cosenza (drums). Blending tight harmonies, sunshine pop melodies, and early-'90s indie pop, the group's debut album, Oxygen Think Tank, was released in 2003. After extensive and expansive touring by the band, the Apparitions' next release, As This Is Futuristic, was released on the Machine imprint in January of 2006. ~ Rob Theakston, All Music Guide
