Kenny Florence, Adam Baker, Mike Robinson, Zack Oden, and Donzel Radford, all members of the Raleigh, NC-based group Annuals, started working on their alt rock side project Sunfold in the early 2000s. Initially going by the name Sedona (a name they had to relinquish due to trademark restrictions), the group formulated a dreamy, intelligent, guitar-driven sound, one rooted in the ambitious prog rock of Yes and Genesis, that nodded to acts like Incubus and Starsailor. Their debut EP, Wet Zoo, was released on Canvasback Records in the spring of 2008. The band's first full-length album, Toy Tugboats, was released on Terpsikhore Records that summer. ~ Margaret Reges, All Music Guide
