Biography

Chicago-based female rapper Strings appeared on Keith Sweat's single "I'm Not Ready" and R. Kelly's "Gotham City for the Ghetto" and performed in the videos for each before releasing singles like "Pu$$y/Kitty," "Raise It Up," and "Tongue Song," which was the answer to Sisqo's hit "Thong Song." Her debut album, The Black Widow, arrived in mid-2000 and featured collaborations with producers and hip-hop artists such as Swizz Beatz, Mannie Fresh, the Infamous Syndicate, and Juvenile & the Hot Boyz. ~ Heather Phares, All Music Guide
