Formed in Italy in 1992, the original incarnation of Sprok consisted of lead vocalist and guitarist Henry and bassist Trinca, who then joined up with friends Sam (on drums) and Poz (another singer) to make a couple of rough demos in the mid-'90s, one of which, Tutto da Rhyme, was reissued years later, once the band had gained some sort of standing in the Italian punk world. In 1998 their debut album, Peste e Corna, came out in limited supply, and was followed two years later by Esse. At this point the band consisted of Henry, Trinca, and drummer Manuel, and it was this same lineup that entered a real studio together for the first time to record 2002's Latte Blu and 2005's Technosprok, a foray into electronica and dance-rock. In 2007 Sprok, now with a different drummer, Patrick, and the addition of keyboardist Christian, released Te Lo Dico in Faccia, a much more modern rock-influenced album, though their punk and ska influences still remained. ~ Marisa Brown, All Music Guide
