Yet another in a long line of rock bands of the early 21st century that have a name with numbers tacked on the end of it, Sparechange00 specialize in the same pop-punk that made Green Day, Blink 182, and Sum 41 faves of MTV/radio. Formed in the mid-'90s in Canton, OH, the band (which includes singer/guitarist Ryan Watts, singer/bassist Don Sedlock, and drummer Brian Knotts) issued their debut release in 1997, entitled Give to the Poor. Their sophomore effort followed two years later, Has Sincerity Gone Out of Style?, before the trio signed to Grilled Cheese/Cargo Music, issuing ...At First Sight in 2000 and the EP Fifty Thousand Moments in 2001, as the band appeared as part of the Warped Tour that summer. ~ Greg Prato, All Music Guide
