Somehow Hollow are something of a spin-off band of the Canadian band Grade, which at various times included all four members. Somehow Hollow were the trio of bassist/singer Mike Casarin, drummer Drew Clark, and guitarist/singer Kent Abbott when they formed in 2000. Guitarist/singer Brad Casarin, brother of Mike, joined them to make a foursome, although at that time Brad's main project was Grade. When Grade ground to a halt in mid-2002, all four members were free to focus on Somehow Hollow. Their debut album, Busted Wings & Rusted Halos, boasted a pop-punk sound, and was issued in early 2003. ~ Richie Unterberger, All Music Guide
