Gregory Ferreira and Owen Beane met at the age of 15 and began playing in bands together. They both sang and played the guitar, and bounced around various lineups until meeting W. Thomas Porter two years later. The threesome formed Silent Goodbye and brought Jennifer Martins into the band.
