Biography

RSS
A Detroit-based alternative rock/punk band that formed in 2004, Search the City quickly earned a strong reputation in the Motor City, recording and releasing their debut EP, Ghosts, in 2006. The brainchild of founding members Alex Sheldon (guitar) and Adam McMillion (drums), Search the City were soon rounded out by the addition of Josh Frost (vocals), Jim Czech (guitar), and Eli Clark (bass). After releasing the aforementioned EP, the bandmembers took it upon themselves -- financially and otherwise -- to promote their work, touring the Midwest and the East Coast a number of times. Eventually, the band earned spots on the Vans Warped Tour and played with the likes of Spitalfield and the Audition. Their first full-length offering, A Fire So Big the Heavens Can See It, was released on Tooth & Nail in April of 2008. ~ Chris True, All Music Guide
