After the breakup of the Omaha-based Anasthesia, guitarist J.J. Bonar, bassist Tom Freeman, and drummer David Collins got together with former Jimmy Skaffa vocalist Ross Manhart to form Row 8, Plot 30 in the summer of 1996. With the addition of second guitarist Corey Kruse, the quintet's sound of funk and metallic hardcore developed under the influences of Sick of It All and Gorilla Biscuits. After a year of playing throughout Nebraska, Ismist Records released Row 8, Plot 30's first full-length, entitled Dowsers, in December of 1997. ~ Mike DaRonco, All Music Guide
