Biography

Self-described as electro-funk, the Texas duo Rebel Crew is comprised of main members Psychedelic B-Boy and tha Lion 808. Although they've been together since their high school graduation in the '80s, Rebel Crew didn't appear on record until 1998 (the song "Love Sun" on the Electric Manor, Vol. 1: A Sunburn Compilation), and didn't release a full-length album until 2000, their debut Tex Mex EFX. The album mixed such genres as hip-hop, dance, Latin, and funk, and featured such special guests as TC Islam and several others. ~ Greg Prato, All Music Guide
