Random Noise Generator

Artist Info

Biography

Displaying multiple style influences, Random Noise Generator focused on creating hybrid sounds in between trash metal and hardcore. Guitarists Jeff Caywood and Aaron Cooper, former members of Dirty Politix, decided to form Random Noise Generator in 1998 along with ex-Obscurity guitarist and singer Mike Grubb. The rhythm section was later established by Cooper's move to drums and the addition of bassist Cory Greer. Generator then started performing their first live shows at local clubs, generating considerable enthusiasm due to their ponderous sound. In 1998, the unit edited their debut album, Bloodlust, gaining substantial acclaim. In 1999, Generator suffered yet another lineup change: Cooper and Greer left, being substituted by Andy Carr and Jason Keffer. Following a year during which they continuously played live, the renewed team started preparing their second album, Modern Stain, which hit the record stores in 2000. ~ Mario Mesquita Borges, All Music Guide
