The Pop It Off Boyz came on the scene with "Crank Dat Batman," an infectious party track in the vein of "Crank Dat" by Soulja Boy. Just like Soulja Boy, members CG and Lil Action were Illinois natives heavily influenced by the good-time snap music coming out of Atlanta, GA. Lil Action had actually moved to Atlanta for a time and picked up some of the local style. When he returned to Illinois he teamed with CG under the name the Invisabel Criminalz. The duo had a regional hit, "Harder Than You Thank," before changing their name to the Pop It Off Boyz and recording "Crank Dat Batman" in 2005. By 2008 the song had become a YouTube phenomenon with hundreds of homemade "Crank Dat Batman" videos posted to the site. ~ David JeffriesYouTube phenomenon with hundreds of homemade "Crank Dat Batman" videos posted to the site. ~ David Jeffries, All Music Guide
