Biography

Drawing comparisons to Wilco while sporting a voice that's occasionally similar to Billy Corgan's, singer/songwriter Peter Walker likes his indie rock dipped in a healthy coating of alt-country. On his first album, the Los Angeles-based artist hooked up with members of Wilco and Beck's band for additional instrumentation, releasing Landed in 2004. For his follow-up album, Young Gravity (released during April 2006 by Dangerbird Records), he received help from Aaron Espinoza of Earlimart and Jim Fairchild of Grandaddy. Mixed by Jacquire King (Modest Mouse, Tom Waits), the album was recorded at the studio used by the late Elliott Smith. In order to play the songs live, Walker added bassist Tim Hutton and drummer Chris Reynolds; the three soon realized their musical bond and launched the band Eulogies in 2007. ~ Kenyon Hopkin, All Music Guide
