Biography

East Coast post-hardcore outfit November Fifth, 1955 formed in 2004. The Boston-based quartet, which features members from numerous bands such as Sluts, Burn Your Wishes, and Pictures of Gabriel, got its name from director Robert Zemeckis' popular Back to the Future trilogy, specifically, from the date in which the character Dr. Emmett Brown slips in the tub and invents time travel. The group blends elements of progressive metal and punk, employing countless time changes, shifting dynamics, and explosive "left turns" that evoke the names of acts like Fugazi, At the Drive-In, and Sparta.
