Nordwand

Nordwand is a German pop group from Styria, Austria, with a boy band style and schlager material. Comprised of Wolfi Birnstingl (vocals; born 1979), Thomas Strizek (guitar; 1976), Chris Kreiner (bass; 1979), Wolfgang Nadrag (drums, guitar; 1980), and Chry Dietrich (keyboards; 1976), the band made its album debut in 2005 with Es Macht Boom on the label Watts Music. A second album, Nichts Haut Mich Um (2005), followed later in the year. The band's third album, "Frauen Sind Wie Sterne" (2007), was a breakout effort, reaching number 43 on the Austrian albums chart and spawning a couple singles ("Jenny Wird Erst 16," "Frauen Sind Wie Sterne"). Nordwand moved to Sony Music for their next album, So Nah (2009), a Top Ten hit on the Austrian albums chart. The album features the single "Was Wenn Nicht Liebe (I Want It That Way)."
