Biography

Chilean singer known troughout Latinamerica for her romantic ballads. Myriam Hern�ndez released her first album in 1988 getting the hit song "El hombre que yo amo. 1990's Myriam Hern�ndez 2 gave the artist the chance to sign a deal with Warner M�xico to consolidate her presence in the music business, but the failure of her first record under the new contract ended in recriminations between the singer and the record label, blaming each other for the lack of sales. In 1994 Myriam Hernandez' fourth production appeared in record stores all around America. Unfortunetly due to her pregnacy at that time Myriam Hern�ndez decided to shorten her promotional tour, cancelling important dates in the U.S. Sony Music signed her up later in a four records contract. By 1997 The singer met a few well known songwriters such as Monica Naranjo, Armando Manzanero and Eros Ramazotti in preparations for the following album. Todo El Amor was produced by Humberto Gatica and succesfully released in January 1998 getting the song "Huele a Peligro," on the Billboard's Hot Latin Tracks. The same year Myriam Hern�ndez was designated as Best Latin Artist by the Entertainment Critics Association of New York (ACE). In the year 2000 Y Mas was released. ~ Drago Bonacich, All Music Guide
