Biography

Existing since the mid-'80s, Mortal Loom performs and remixes dreamy pop fusion similar to Tangerine Dream and Dead Can Dance. Spending their time between the Netherlands and the San Francisco area, the band uses an array of electronic instruments and interlaces organic sounds like human voices, water, and even chirping crickets to create a unique electro-organic sound. The end result of tweaking their sound for 15 years is available on their debut album, Alchemy Through Dreams, released in 2000. Two years later, the electronica-tinged Addicted to the Tragedy was released on Delvian Records. ~ Zac Johnson, All Music Guide
