More Than Electric

Artist Info

Biography

Bringing together melodious pop tunes with rock's most raw picks, More Than Electric present original and patterned ways for the pop/rock style. Electric initially formed in Findlay, OH, in 1993, but were using the designation Jesus Flying Rocket Ship at the time. Drew Montgomery (vocals, guitar) and Thomas Cupp (guitar), the team's founding duo, first met while they were still attending college. After several failed additions to the set, the band only continued to take its shape after Brian Pauline (bass) joined the duo in 1996. However, it was only in July of 2000 that More Than Electric finalized its lineup with the joining of drummer Brennan Willis. Recording their first demo tape shortly after the completion of the set, Electric also continued to bring together a strong and faithful fan base. During the following months, the Ohio team returned to the studio, preparing to record its debut album. ~ Mario Mesquita Borges, All Music Guide
