Based in Greensboro, NC, Mercy Mercedes was a five-piece outfit that specialized in an uptempo, frenetic, new wave-y style of pop/rock that quickly won them a great deal of fan support and -- eventually -- an indie record deal. After honing their skills on tour, the band recorded and released an EP, Casio Rodeo, which sold well online. The buzz that the group was building soon led to a deal -- with The Militia Group -- which in turn led to the band preparing to record their first full-length offering. 2009 was to be spent on the road and in the studio. ~ Chris True, All Music Guide
