Bringing out creative cuts within the alternative metal style, Low Gear also displays superior rhythmic commands, headed by a ponderous bass and drum sections. Forming in the late '90s, in Dallas, TX, Gear combines the efforts of Minister Roach (vocals), Rojo (guitar), Mucky (guitar), Goat (bass), and Gotti (drums). After several rehearsal sessions, the Texan team settled on recording its first three-song demo tape in 1999. Spreading their fierce tunes at some of Dallas' major music clubs and constantly obtaining an enthusiastic response, the crew eventually initiated the gathering of a considerable fan base. In 2000, Low Gear entered the studio again, shaping their first full-length album, Siktunes, which hit the record stores in 2001. ~ Mario Mesquita Borges, All Music Guide
