Freeing hard-trashed sounds and bringing together hard picks of funk, metal, and rap, Local Porn Star first reunited in Florida in 1998. Featuring two vocalists, Matt and Brian, bassist Justin, Ian (drums), and guitarist Brent, this Florida crew started by promoting their very own rap-core style live on-stage, with performances all over the state, from Orlando to Jacksonville. Their blazing live shows were Local Porn Star's best I.D. card, and after a few months, the band received a prize given by a local newspaper for being the "Best Live Act of the Region." Soon after, they were releasing their first record, Hard Raw Ride, an EP featuring five tracks, which helped to increase their exposure. Soon they signed with BUB Records prior to several lineup changes, still fixing the squad as a five piece. Allan Wood became the bands' vocalist in late 2000, before the crew entered the studio again, preparing what would be their first full-length album, Electricity. ~ Mario Mesquita Borges, All Music Guide
