Lee Dallon joined with bassist/vocalist Robbie Watson, guitarists/vocalists Ian Taylor and Martin Finley, drummer Paul Spencer, vocalist Chris Gent and second keyboardist Tommy Eyre to form the hard-hitting pink band, the Speedometers, in 1977. Although they recorded three memorable EPs --Disgrace in 1977, Liverpool Ladies in 1978 and Tonight Tonightin 1979 and one full-length album, Day In The Lights in 1979, the Speedometers's heavy-bashing sound failed to sell and the group disbanded. One of two keyboard players in the Speedometers, Dallon was unable to make the transition to a solo career and faded into obscurity following the band's break-up. ~ Craig Harris, All Music Guide
