Athens-based singer/songwriter Ken Will Morton spent his formative years in Hartford, CT, playing live, writing songs, and recording. He left the Northeast in 1993 for Georgia to pursue a career in music, eventually forming the power pop trio Wonderlust with drummer Kevin Watford and bassist Dave Siff. The group was short-lived, but managed to produce an EP, a full-length, and a slot on the Vans Warped Tour before calling it quits. Morton joined the roots rock collective the Indicators in 2001, and can be heard on the band's second CD (released in 2003), Kill the Messenger. Morton stayed with the band until 2004, finishing his debut solo album that year and releasing the long-awaited In Rock'n'Roll's Hands in June. The record received rave reviews from the Americana/No Depression crowd, earning him comparisons to Bruce Springsteen, Ryan Adams, and Paul Westerberg. His sophomore solo release, King of Coming Around, arrived in March 2006. ~ James Christopher Monger, All Music Guide
