Canadian born J Diggz (or Jonathan Matthew Poirier as his parents knew him) was not only a successful MC, but was a producer as well, and -- as one half of the production crew Starbwoyz (alongside brother Scotch) was responsible for a highly successful beverage ad. By 2005, J Diggz had won himself a spot as support on The Game's Canadian tour, and was set to release a full length offering. That album, Memoirs of a Playbwoy, hit the shops in August of 2007. J Diggz' work was critically lauded, and for his trouble, the MC won a nomination for his skills at the 2008 Juno Awards ceremony. ~ Chris True, All Music Guide
