James Thomas Henderson

As the vocal frontman for the British hard rock outfit misfortunately named Tucky Buzzard, James Thomas Henderson got to sing numbers such as "Superfine Lady" and "Superboy Rock and Roller '73," both perhaps reasons other musicians named James Henderson and Jimmy Henderson are glad this one utilized his middle name as a barrier against mistaken identity. Care should particularly be taken to avoid mix-ups with the Southern rock guitarist Jimmy Henderson who played with Black Oak Arkansas, as exciting as it might seem to daydream about the two bands joining forces at a festival. Henderson and guitarist Terry Taylor often co-wrote entire albums for Tucky Buzzard, which began flying as a group in 1969 and continued for the following five years. There were four recordings released during the group's original career, at least one stamp of approval coming from original Rolling Stones' bassist Bill Wyman. In retrospect, this is a man whose opinions may have gained lustre, as he was the only one of these rolling rocks to have the sense to get off the road. Wyman respecters will find Tucky Buzzard perched somewhere around the tar pits of his discography. Wyman took the band on as a side project at one point, producing and even playing on the odd track.
