With their formation in early 1999, Imbroco became the third band to get together out of the Mineral breakup, with the other two being Pop Unknown and the Gloria Record. Also including members of the Impossibles, the Stereo, and Pop Unknown, Scott McCarver, Gabe Wiley, Matt Breedlove, and Rory Phillips make up their sound of gentle, complex guitar work and quiet vocals. Imbroco made their recording debut on the Deep Elm sampler Records for the Working Class, No. 2 before releasing their first EP, Are You My Lionkiller?, in 2000. ~ Mike DaRonco, All Music Guide
