Jazz standards, funk-fusion classics, and original tunes are combined by guitarist, vocalist, and composer Iain Scott. Together with his band, whose ex-members include Ashley Soan (Del Amitri, Squeeze), Robin Lumley (David Bowie, Brand X), and Adam Phillips (Cher), Scott has been a vital part of England's nightclub scene since 1992. The group recently completed a two-year residency at the Prince of Wales Club in Greenwich, England. Playing guitar since 1950, Scott has worked with Brian Wilson, Alan Skidmore, and Dick Heckstall-Smith. After performing in Wales for eight years, he strengthened his skills by attending the Guitar Institute of Technology (G.I.T.). Temporarily moving to the United States, he taught at G.I.T. in Los Angeles, for eight years, while playing with jazz-rock band, Afterburner. Since returning to the United Kingdom, Scott has taught at the Guitar Institute at Thames Valley University. In addition to launching a publishing company, East River Publishing, he has composed numerous television and movie soundtracks. ~ Craig Harris, All Music Guide
