Seattle, WA's Heir Apparent was founded in 1983 by guitarist Terry Gorle and issued a pair of slightly progressive power metal albums in 1986's Graceful Inheritance (featuring singer Paul Davidson, bassist Derek Peace, and drummer Ray Schwartz) and 1989's noticeably Queensr˙che-inspired One Small Voice (introducing new vocalist Steve Benito and keyboardist Mike Jackson). Both were commercially unsuccessful, so the band subsequently broke up, only to be revived by Gorle in 1999 in order to promote the next year's Triad collection of 1988 demos with the occasional show in and around Seattle. ~ Eduardo Rivadavia, All Music Guide
