Singer Matt Roberts, guitarist Jason Nelson, and drummer Dave Steffen first began their working relationship in Aunt Flossie, a Texas alternative group. After changing their name, they won a radio-station contest and had the chance to record two songs for a compilation. They opened for several well-known bands as they came through Texas, and eventually signed with Gold Circle to release their debut album, 2002's Ventilate. ~ Bradley Torreano, All Music Guide
