Crafting what they call organitronic instro hip-hop, Gonervill mixes alternately spooky and soulful melodies with the deft skills of turntablist DJ Eddie Def (also of the Space Travelers and El Stew). The trio also includes drummer Brain, formerly of Primus and Praxis, and also the current drummer for Guns N' Roses, and bassist Extrakd, also of El Stew. The trio's self-titled 2001 debut also featured the Limbomaniacs' M.I.R.V. on guitar, as well as contributions from Bill Laswell and Buckethead. ~ Heather Phares, All Music Guide
