Mexican Latin pop group Garibaldi, name based on a place at Mexico City where local troubadours used to sing for free, was formed in 1989, climbing on music charts soon after releasing 1990's Que Te La Pongo. Playing a mixture of tropical and dance-pop styles, Garibaldi had the opportunity to perform live around Latin America, including the prestigious Acapulco and Viña del Mar festivals. At the beginning of the new millennium, after Patricia Manterola, actress/singer Pilar Montenegro, and Víctor Noriega departed, among other lineup changes, Garibaldi returned with 2001's Punto G. ~ Drago Bonacich, All Music Guide
