Gang Wizard are known throughout the Northern California and Oregon area as a group of unusual noise makers who originated from Orange County. Made up of a trio who are only known as Christopher B, Mike L, and Jake A, all of Gang Wizards material is normally thrown together on a four-track recorder without any retakes or overdubs. Resulting in a number of split EPs with the likes of Seaworthy, Minmae, Monotract, and Blodeuedd among others, Unread Records released the Gang Wizards first 12" EP entitled Robert in 1999. A year later, the Dutch-based Morc Records followed up with their debut full-length El Cortez Will By Y'a Drink. ~ Mike DaRonco, All Music Guide
