As a member of three influential Michigan bands, the punk-fueled Lovesick, the quiet and reflective Flashpapr, and the graceful pop/rock of Saturday Looks Good to Me, Fred Thomas made a name for himself in the independent rock community of Ann Arbor and Detroit in the late '90s and early 2000s. Thomas also served a brief stint as bass player for His Name Is Alive. By 2002, Thomas had assembled numerous songs that didn't fit into his busy band schedule. His solo career began with the release of Everything Is Pretty Much Totally Fucked Up on Juan Garcia's Little Hands Records in the winter of 2002. That year also saw a brief East Coast solo tour, as well as the release of Tour EP and No One Will Ever Make Me Feel This Way Again on Ypsilanti Records. Turn It Down arrived in 2004, followed by Sink Like a Symphony in 2006. ~ Stephen Cramer, All Music Guide
