Formed in 2004 around the talents of Brent Meyer and Chris Willshire, Los Angeles-based Folio blend the high-energy attack of current modern rock outfits like Interpol and the Killers with the vintage, keyboard-heavy atmospherics of classic new wave groups such as Duran Duran and Depeche Mode. Recording sessions with industry stalwarts like drummer Joey Waronker (Paul McCartney, R.E.M., Beck), guitarist Lyle Workman (Sting, Frank Black), and analog synth god Roger Manning (Jellyfish) followed, with plans to release the results in 2007.
