The hard rock duo EvansCapps was formed as a side project by bassist Ean Evans, a member of Lynyrd Skynyrd since 2001, and keyboardist Bobby Capps, a member of .38 Special since 1999, after the two met during a joint tour by their bands in 2003. Evans and Capps recorded an album, Last Time, which was given a digital release in 2005. In late 2008, Evans was diagnosed with cancer. He died on May 6, 2009, at age 48. A revised version of Last Time, remixed and partially re-recorded and containing four new tracks, was released as a CD by Rock Ridge Music on May 12, 2009. ~ William Ruhlmann, All Music Guide
