DJ Radar first got his start in dance music when he and Emile suited up for the Bombshelter DJ's collective in the early '90s. Worldwide dates in Japan, Europe, and North America gave DJ Radar a chance to stretch his electronic palette throughout the decade. Once the new millennium rolled around, DJ Radar connected with jazz pianist Raul Yanez for an amazing experiment. The two recorded the Concerto for Turntables album, fusing a symphony with a turntable as their chief instrument. In March 2001, they made their live instrumental debut at the Grady Gammage Auditorium with the Arizona State University Symphony Orchestra. Aside from his work with Yanez, DJ Radar has released collaborative remixes with Money Mark and contributed to remix albums issued on Bomb, Matador, and Sub Pop. In 1999, Spin magazine hailed DJ Radar as the "ninth best turntablist in the world." ~ MacKenzie Wilson, All Music Guide
