Conceiving their creations based on a dueling combination of alternative pop/rock with distinct grunge influences, Dianisis create sole-sounding melodies, consolidated by the distinguishing vocals of frontman Matt Washam and by their straying acoustical selections. Assembled in 1999 in Ottawa, Canada, Dianisis first started as a reunion of former high school friends Washam (vocals, guitar), Denis Murphy (bass), and Kevin Simard (drums). Following months of rehearsals, the band started playing their first live shows at local clubs, gaining considerable acclaim and gathering a loyal fan base.
