Ded Walleye originated out of the college rock scene of Fargo, North Dakota in 1996 with their array of covers that ranged from the Doors to Creedence Clearwater Revival to the Foo Fighters and Jimi Hendrix. Eventually branching out to write their own material, Dave Morris (vocals), Eric Letvin (guitar), Mitch Fallgatter (bass), and Jim Julsrud (drum) would continue to play throughout Minnesota, North Dakota, and South Dakota area after the 1998 release of their debut full-length, Cranbait. ~ Mike DaRonco, All Music Guide
