Singer Danny Wagner is best remembered for the version of "My Buddy" he recorded as a duet with Barry White. The 1968 single was released as a plaintive protest of the Vietnam War. In 2007 the Keane label reissued the track on their release The Kindred Souls of Danny Wagner and Barry White. The liner notes mentioned that the Iraq war was the inspiration for the reissue. ~ David Jeffries, All Music Guide
