Code Monkey

Artist Info

Biography

Wandering through simple guitar melodies, sublimating their indie rock inspirations and pop/rock influences, Code Monkey discovers creative and silvery passages of rock's most independent and original tendencies. Assembling in London, U.K., in 1999, Monkey is Paul Lambert (vocals, guitar), James Page (bass), and Glen Child (drums, keyboards). Following two years of rehearsals preparing and experimenting with unusual orchestrations, the band released its first disc. Crashland, the trio's debut EP, arrived in 2001 and counts on the mastery of producer Rich Haines, who formerly collaborated with groups such as Radiohead and Supergrass. Featuring nine original themes, the EP gathered promising reviews, ensuring the band an even larger following. The band then entered the studio again, preparing their first full-length disc. ~ Mario Mesquita Borges, All Music Guide
