With a spooky, intense, and sometimes jazzy psychedelic rock sound, Cobweb Strange has been compared to everyone from the Doors to early Pink Floyd. Formed in Atlanta, the band, of which bassist Wade Summerlin has been the only constant member, has also been influenced by 1970s metal and progressive rock. Cobweb Strange was formed in 1995 by bassist Wade Summerlin, who found drummer Derik Rinehart and guitarist Jonathan Burke through placing ads in the newspaper.
