Puerto Rican singer/actor Charlie Massó joined teen pop sensation Menudo in 1982 while studying music, soon topping the charts with his song "La Chispa de la Vida." Massó left the group after a performance at Hiram Bithorn stadium in 1987, being replaced by Ralph Rodríguez. As an actor, his debut came while participating in a play called Brighton Beach Memoirs. After releasing his first solo album, the young artist played roles in Mexican soap operas such as Andrea and Muchachitas; he also participated in the movies Venganza Criminal, Chavos Banda, and Bésame en la Boca. In 1994, his album Inevitable was released. Two years later, Charlie Massó returned to his native country, joining tropical act Kaos. ~ Drago Bonacich, All Music Guide
