Charlie Allen began writing songs at the age of 15, but had opened for country icons such as Hank Williams Jr. and Loretta Lynn by the age of nine as a part of his uncle's band. Allen grew up in Bristol, TN, and learned to play piano and guitar from his mother. Allen's self-titled debut on Parc Records was released in 2003. ~ Rick Cohoon, All Music Guide
