Biography

Cha Cha grew up in Detroit with her mother and twin sisters and began rapping at age ten. Coming to the attention of manager Wendell White, she was signed to Noontime Music in Atlanta; Noontime's distribution deal with Epic led to the release of her debut single "New Millennium (What Cha Wanna Do)" and first full-length album Dear Diary in 1999. ~ William Ruhlmann, All Music Guide
