Originally formed as a punk rock outfit in 2001, Chicago, IL-based Caw! Caw! would develop and mature -- not to mention going from a quartet to a trio -- into a blissed-out, spacy experimental pop group. The bandmembers honed their skills and explored new territory in their hometown, performing at many of the city's best-loved venues. Eventually, the group got around to recording an EP, and in 2008 it saw the light of day. Entitled Wait Outside, the Minneapolis-recorded seven-track offering was made possible with a little help from the Slanty Shanty label. ~ Chris True, All Music Guide
